Family Placecards

These are the placecards that I created for our family Thanksgiving dinner. Altogether I made 16 of them - my hand was aching after turning the crank on my Epic Six machine for the embossing on so much chocolate cardstock and then using my Quickutz Sqeeuze to cut out all the fall leaves! I added detail to the leaves and the name labels by inking the edges with chalk ink and also finished the edges with a small scalloped punch.

Here's a close up. This one is slightly different because I used a Hero Arts leaf stamp and colored it in with my Prismacolors. After doing that with one, I went with inking the punched out leaves on the others as I was short on time!

Thanks for dropping in!

Stamps : Hero Arts (leaf)
Paper : SU! Really Rust, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip, PTI Vintage Cream
Ink : VersaMagic chalk ink (Gingerbread and Paprika)

Razzleberry Thankyou Box

This week's tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers was a cute little favor box using just one sheet of cardstock! If you want to try it out for yourself click for the tutorial and the gallery set aside just for All-in-One box creations.

My sweet little box is made using a regular size sheet of SU! Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and embellished using a Quickutz Swirl embossing folder and white ribbon from Michaels. The stamp on the front tag is from Stampin'Up! and I used SU! markers to add the color.

Hope you have a great weekend,

Stamps : Stampin'Up!

Each Morning that greets me....

Today I don't have a card for you, something a little bigger than that (!) I have just finished reading a book by Paul D Tripp called 'A Quest for More' and the final chapter had the most awesome poem written on the last page. I just had to create a framed version of it. I typed the poem out in Word and printed the poem out on SU! Whisper White CS. Then I lined up the poem with a QuicKutz Cookie Cutter Die and ran it through my Epic Six. My selection of Bo-Bunny Flutter Papers was still in a jumble on my desk so it seemed most natural to use it to clear a path to a clean(er) desk again. Of course, I couldn't resist using my new butterfly punch and some pearls too!

Here is a close-up of the butterfly :

For those of you interested in the text of the poem, here is a close up of that too :

I hope you enjoyed a little change from the usual card today!
See you tomorrow,
Sarah
