Not quite Mojo Monday!
On Monday I saw the sketch for this week's Mojo Monday (#149) but then the sketch just sat on my desk for most of the week. By Thursday I was itching to try the sketch and also a new 'gStudio' dollar stamp that I picked up from Michaels last month. In the process of creating my card I included some Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers and PTI Smokey Shadow cardstock. I found just the right Copic Markers to match the papers - which is amazing seeing as I only have 20 markers..... : ( and I used Basic Grey brads to add some detail to the sentiment. I faked a scallop-style square using an EKSuccess border punch. I'm not sure the corners worked out quite right but being as it is a dark grey you can't really tell....!!! The reason I named this card 'Not quite Mojo Monday' is due to the fact that I could not seem to include the 3 strips behind the main image without making it look too busy.
Here is the sketch :
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Stamps : gStudios, SU! (Sentiment)
Paper : PTI Smokey Shadow and White, Basic Grey Urban Prairie DP

Dreamy Pink Thanks
Believe it or not the main image on today's card did not start out this way. I started to color in another flower image using my PrismaColor pencils but for some reason I was not doing well with matching my colors with the patterned paper so I totally changed my plan and used these watercolor flowers from a Stampin'Up! set.
I am loving these dreamy papers by K&Co and if Michaels ever stops selling their pink satin ribbon I will be in trouble! To add a little extra detail I used a tiny scallop border punch around the flowers and inked up the edges of the circle tag with soft chalk ink for my sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Thinking of You
Good morning all! Hope you had a fantastic weekend?
My card today was a quick and easy card that I made a while ago and forgot to post here on my blog! I used SU! Old Olive and Night of Navy to complement the K&Co Blue Awning papers that I found somewhere in my stash. The butterfly is actually a rub-on and the sentiment is from an Inkadinkado set.
Short and sweet today,
Stamps : Inkadinkado (sentiment)
Paper : K&Co Blue Awning DP, SU! Old Olive, Night of Navy and White
Ink : SU! Night of Navy
Accessories : EK Success border punch, Basic Grey buttons, My Little Yellow Bicycle Butterfly rub-on

Pearl Flower Thankyou
Hi everyone!
You probably won't have guessed but the last 3 weeks of cards on my blog were posted automatically while I was on vacation! I did check in from time to time to make sure everything was posting as it should because I am so new to blogging I was not even sure it would work!
Today's card was made the night before we went on vacation using a stamp on loan to me from my good friend, Liz. I practiced again with my Copic markers and added details with pearls and a white gel pen. I wasn't sure how to add a sentiment to begin with but found a small oval in my scrap pile and added the smallest sentiment I could.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Stamps : Flower - Unknown, SU! Sentiment
Paper : PTI White, Plum and Lilac
Ink : Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Elegant Eggplant

This is another simple card using one of my Verve stamps. If you are wondering where to get these beautiful images check out the Verve Online Store and you'll find all kinds of delightful images and verses to add to your collection.
I have a good stamping buddy who was so inspired by the Verve stamps she saw here on my blog that she immediately went online and ordered a LOT of stamps. I really should ask Verve for commission on all this business I am sending their way!!!!! :)

Ancestry Rejoice
My card today is based on one of the Verve June Release sketch challenges. We were to choose one sketch from each month from January through May for a total of 5 cards. I did not find out about this challenge until close to the deadline and so I amazed myself and created 5 cards in 2 or 3 days. Unfortunately I did not win the prize after all that hard work!!! But no matter, I now have some more cards for my own personal use and to post here on my blog!
The dreamy patterned papers are from TCP studios Ancestry collection and the medallion accent is from a Spellbinders Renaissance die with some added pearls from Kaisercraft.
Have a great weekend,
Stamps : Verve Plain Jane

Ink : VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk ink

Bird on a Branch
For those of you who've been following my blog for the last little while you will probably be surprised that today's card does not use any Verve stamps anywhere - nor is my card based on a Verve sketch!!!!
I used a friend's Cricut Machine for the bird, branch and large scallops. The design was loosely based on Jen's Sketch for You to Try from a couple of weeks ago but I could not enter it on her blog in good conscience because I departed from the original sketch so much that it ended up being completely different!
See you next week!
Stamps : Stampin'Up! (sentiment)
Paper : PTI (Smokey Shadow and White), Bazzill Basics, Basic Grey Oliver DP
Ink : SU! Basic Black

Verve Thanks
You can tell that I am really into Verve sketches and stamps right now. If you look back over my recent posts you'll see that they are all based on Viva La Verve sketches and this one is no different!
This card is made with some of favorite patterned paper at the moment - Global Trek by Deja Views. The colors are so sumptous (not sure if I spelt that right!!!) and rich. Of course, my photography does not do the colors justice. I'm trying to convince my husband of the joys of Adobe Photoshop right now to correct the colors and lighting in my pictures but I haven't managed to persuade him just yet!
Thanks for dropping in!

No kindness ever wasted....
This week I have a lot of cards from the Viva La Verve sketches during June for you! This is my interpretation of the week 4 sketch using the dreamy colors from the inspiration photo of room number 1. (For those of you unfamiliar with this challenge, check out this thread on Splitcoaststampers.com and you can see all the details - and play along for yourself!).
I normally do not use yellow on my cards because I have a hard time choosing just the right shade, but I think it complemented the pink and white in this card to match the look I was aiming for.
Have a great weekend!

Paper : My Little Yellow Bicycle Sharon Ann collection DP, PTI White
Ink : SU! Basic Black, VersaMagic Chalk ink (Pixie Pink)

Birthday Boat
This is another card based on a Viva La Verve sketch from June. I used my pad of Stampin'Up! designer papers in Night of Navy and Ruby Red along with a cute little image from their Toy Box stamp set (from about 5 years ago!).
The image is colored in using Copic Markers and PrismaColor pencils and I accented the card with some faux stitching using a white gel pen along with a tiny red button on some satin ribbon just to add a little extra interest.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of 'Sophie'
My Minds Eye always has some delicious papers in their collections and this one is no different. It is called 'Sophie' and has some absolutely gorgeous pinks and purples in rich shades with beautiful subtle patterns. You really should check it out either on-line or at your local scrapbook/craft store.
This card was designed based on a Viva La Verve sketch from June and the colors were inspired from the room photo that contained pink and black accents.
Enjoy!

Sweet Baby Stars
My supply of baby cards is getting low again and so I created this cute one using Fancy Pants Patterned paper in non-traditional baby colors (ie. not pink or baby blue). The coral and faded blue are very sweet together and I like the addition of the white ribbon to pull it all together.
The stars were cut using my Quickutz Squeeze. I don't use this tool too often and have recently gone through a phase of trying to use all the tools and supplies in my cupboard no matter how old they are! I added some faux stitches using a white gel pen to add some more interest and make the stars stand out against the background.
Have a great holiday weekend!
Stamps : Stampin'Up!
Paper : PTI White, Fancy Pants Little Sprout DP
Ink : SU! Rose Red
Accessories : SU! Scallop circle Punch, Marvy medium Circle punch, Quickutz Squeeze, White satin ribbon from Michaels, white gel pen
