Masculine Tree

Masculine cards are always a challenge for me. I love to create cards that include butterflies, ribbons, pearls, swirls etc - all the girly stuff, but I need more masculine cards in my stash to send out. After a couple of false starts, this is the result of my creative endeavours over the last day or so. It's also my submission for Mojo Monday (#142). Here is the sketch that I was working from :

I apologize for the dark photo but I took the picture at the end of the day when the sunlight was not in the right position through my kitchen window.

Thanks for dropping in!

Stamps : Verve (Scripture Verse), SU! Tree from Thoughts and Prayers

  1. Another gorgeous card! Masculine cards are a challenge for me too, as are Christmas cards. You did a wonderful job.

  2. Beautiful card!I love the stamp set.TFS

  3. I like this handsome card. The edge punch is pretty but in a manly sort of way.

  4. Fabulous card. Love the clean lines and earthy shades. Thanks for playing Mojo!

  5. Beautiful card, Sarah, the neutrals really add an elegance to this card! I think you nailed the masculine thing also, I have a hard time with that as well. Practice, practice!
