Christmas on my mind!
During the last week I have begun to think about my Christmas card designs. I was thoroughly inspired when I visited Archivers last week and got some new goodies to begin experimenting with. This is my first attempt at using a stamp that I already have in my collection (and used on my cards a couple of years ago) but now want to make it look even better with new embellishments and papers. I used a combination of my Copic Markers and Prismacolors for the main image and then accented the stockings with gold stickles. Here a close up so you can get a better look :
I have another Christmas design that I have completed but I have not had chance to photograph it yet. I'll try to do that for tomorrow perhaps??
Hope you are having a great week?

Prima Baby Bunny
Today's card is for my cousin in England who just had a sweet little baby girl. This is definitely a week for working on my coloring techniques. Here I used my Prismacolor pencils again to add color to this sweet little bunny image from Stampin'Up! Let's take a close up of my coloring :
The papers I used are from the Jack and Jill collection from Prima Marketing and I added some fake lace using a border punch.
Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Daisy
Good morning y'all! I do feel like I have the creative mojo back over these last few days. I am excited to create something beautiful because of personal inspiration rather than following a sketch or competition (although that doesn't mean I will never enter Mojo Monday again or try the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge). I realize that means fewer people may visit my blog because I won't be linked to any other challenge blogs or threads, but I will just learn to live with that because I want to be enthusiastic with my own ideas and not be driven by other deadlines (or my desire to get on a design team..... if it happens, it happens and if not, well ..... it doesn't!!!!)
My card today includes a sweet little image from Whipper Snapper designs. They have some cute whimsical images. Normally I shy away from whimsical cards, but I am trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new.
Instead of using my PrismaColors with this image I tried using my SU! watercolor pencils and an aquapainter. I am pleased with the end result - the effect is soft and subtle. The card is very simple in its design to allow the main image to be center of attention.
Hope you are having a good week?

Fall Butterfly
Goodness gracious, it's been nearly a whole month since I made a card and posted here on my blog....!!! In September I was beginning to feel a slave to my blog and keeping it updated. I felt like I was just making cards to post here rather than creating because I enjoyed it - so I took a break. As a family we went to Toronto for two weeks and I set a couple of automatic posts while I was there, but apart from that I have not done anything even vaguely related to cards/stamping or crafts. Oh, apart from visiting Stamping Bella in Toronto - but who can resist visiting such a treasure trove!!!
My creation today is especially for a friend of mine who is currently suffering with back problems and is in a lot of pain. I wanted to create something light, airy and cheerful but still with some autumnal colors blended in. This Hero Arts butterfly stamp is one of my favorites and fit my requirements perfectly. Here is a close up of the main image :
The yellow spots are actually highlighted with a Spica Glitter marker, but unfortunately it does not show up on my camera. It's a beautiful, subtle effect that shimmers more than sparkles!
Hopefully my break from card making will produce many wonderful new creations in the coming weeks!
Thanks for coming back to visit!

This card is based on a Mojo Monday sketch from a couple of weeks ago that I did not get around to posting until now. I was using mostly new products - a Hero Arts Thanksgiving set from Archivers, American crafts fall ribbon and new Basic Grey patterned paper.
Again, it's a short and sweet post today!
Hope you are having a great week?
